zu dem KalenderWe live in a world that produces data incessantly – even while we sleep. Algorithms compare and evaluate our behaviour, while digital platforms promise to make our lives more efficient and secure. Yet the more commonplace these systems become, the less often we question the narratives they are built upon. What myths have emerged around the power of major technology companies? And which political ideologies have already become embedded in the infrastructures of our digital present?
»LORECORPS (v2)« approaches these questions as an immersive live essay somewhere between computer game, performance, and concert. Together with musician Ricardo Eizirik and a robotic cat, Anan Fries guides audiences through the visual worlds of digital capitalism, revealing what lies beneath the polished surfaces of technological innovation: the gradual fusion of algorithmic control and authoritarian ideologies, the end of the open internet, and the power of new technological myths.
Anan Fries lives and works between Basel and Berlin. Through installations, performances, and VR and video works, Fries explores the relationship between bodies, machines, and technological infrastructures. Fries’ work has been presented at venues including IDFA DocLab, Somerset House, and Berlin Art Week. In 2025, Fries was Artist in Residence at transmediale. The project »Artificial Sex Ep. 1 & 2« received the IDFA DocLab Award for Digital Storytelling and the Special Jury Prize from the Columbia University Digital Storytelling Lab.
